Cooperation

European and international projects

An overview of the European and international programmes and instruments consistent with AGAMI's mission of research, training and dialogue

AGAMI's work — legal research, training, intercultural dialogue and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation — naturally fits within the framework of European and international programmes dedicated to fundamental rights, citizenship, equal opportunities and cooperation between civil societies. This page presents the main reference instruments and their relevance to the Association's aims.

The programmes described constitute a frame of reference. Any participation, applications or funded projects will be indicated only once confirmed.

European Union

CERV — Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values

The CERV programme (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values), established by Regulation (EU) 2021/692 for the 2021-2027 period, protects and promotes the rights and values enshrined in the EU Treaties and in the Charter of Fundamental Rights. It is structured into four strands: Union values; equality, rights and gender equality; citizens' engagement and participation; and combating violence (Daphne).

Civil society organisations active at local, regional, national and transnational level may take part. The programme's themes — non-discrimination, equality, civic participation, dialogue — are consistent with AGAMI's statutory aims relating to rights and intercultural dialogue.

Relevance for AGAMI

  • Fundamental rights and non-discrimination
  • Equal opportunities and gender equality
  • Civic participation and dialogue between communities

European Union

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ (Regulation (EU) 2021/817, 2021-2027) is the Union's programme for education, training, youth and sport. It is structured into three Key Actions; under Key Action 2, Cooperation Partnerships and Small-scale Partnerships support cooperation between organisations, including smaller ones and newcomers to the sector.

The programme sets cross-cutting priorities — inclusion and diversity, the digital dimension, sustainability, participation — and provides for capacity-building actions, including with the southern Mediterranean neighbourhood: areas consistent with AGAMI's educational and transnational vocation.

Relevance for AGAMI

  • Training and lifelong learning
  • Cooperation and small-scale partnerships
  • Capacity building and the Mediterranean neighbourhood

Mediterranean

Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and transnational law

Euro-Mediterranean cooperation began with the Barcelona Process (1995), relaunched by the Union for the Mediterranean. It is within this framework that the instruments of transnational family law of particular relevance to Italian-Moroccan families are situated: the Hague Conventions on the international abduction of children (1980), on parental responsibility and the protection of children (1996) and on maintenance obligations (2007).

At the regional level, the Council of Europe cooperates in a structured way with the southern neighbourhood, and Morocco maintains well-established cooperation with it. AGAMI observes and analyses these instruments through its observatories and the Italy-Morocco Study Commission, for scientific and orientation purposes.
